Here in sunny Brighton, our centre has 100 students making excellent and innovative music from speed metal to glitch, D'n'B to blues and a staff team with years of industry experience and a few million record sales under their belts.

Brighton is famed for its role in the development of dance music and culture with close associations with big beat. It is a happening city with the vibrancy of the capital itself.

The Access to Music Studios is situated in a business park about one mile from the city centre, adjacent to Scream Studios, a fully-equipped band rehearsal facility.

The studios consist of a series of technology suites. Band rehearsal and recording facilities are provided at Scream Studios where there are excellent PAs.

Alive at the Live Lounge
Access to Music students ended the term on a musical high at the Live Lounge in Brighton on Thursday 8 July.

Performing Musician students organised the event themselves, including poster design, distribution and promotion. A feast of bands and DJ acts from the Performing Musician and Digital Musician courses performed on the night including Ora, Kermitt, Jetpack Elastic and Jacob Marchington. Plus guests Daffy Dubz, Conan and DJ Animal.

Access to Music at Brighton Fringe Festival
Access To Music Brighton hosted its 14th live event of the year at The Latest Music Bar in May, as part of the hugely popular Brighton Fringe Festival.

The top floor of the venue played host to some of the hottest DJ’s Beatboxers and Producers at Access to Music Brighton, while downstairs was filled with an eclectic line up of live acts including Jupiter, Disco Allstars, Ora and New History. Current students, friends and family and music loving locals filled the venue; course leader Mark Crawford summed up the event: ‘A fantastic night with a medley of inspiring, local musical talent.’
