The British Academy of New Music is a
centre of musical excellence and a focal
point for music training in the capital.

The British Academy of New Music (Further Education) is a dedicated music education facility situated in the East End of London in the heart of the fast developing Olympic village. It is the FE wing of the British Academy of New Music which also incorporates a Higher Education department.

The centre offers a wide range of courses at Levels 1 to 3 for aspiring musicians from the eastern regions of London and generally from inner and greater London.

The centre has eleven rehearsal studios, two recording studios, two music technology suites, practice rooms, a dance studio and seminar rooms. It is staffed by an experienced team of musicians.

The centre offers excellent opportunities for music work-based learning within the capital.

The centre has excellent links with the music industry, recent guest speaker visits have included DJ Seven, hailed by the likes of Skream and Youngsta as one of the best DJ’s on the scene and renown composer Andrew Kramer, to mention just two.

TRAVELLING BY TUBE
The nearest stations to the ATM Studios are Bromley By Bow and Bow Road on the District and Hammersmith & City lines. The Academy is about a 10 minute walk from Bromley by Bow tube. The Studios are also accessible from the Stratford station.

Jimi's Parade to play in Paris
Jimi’s Parade, students at the British Academy of New Music, have been announced as the guest act for la Grande Finale Nationale du Festival Rock at top Paris venue Le Gibus

The opportunity comes following an impressive string of gigs on the Atom Live UK Tour in May. Liam from the band said: ‘I can’t quite believe that after only a handful of gigs we’re off to Europe…I suppose it’s time to take the Parade overseas!’ The gig will take place in September, check out their myspace for more details.

Soul Diva Angie Brown visits London Apprentices
Gifted vocalist Angie Brown visited the British Academy of New Music to give Music Apprentices a vocal master class.

With a voice which has been compared to all time greats such as Tina Turner and Aretha Franklin, and a CV packed with a diverse range of work, including Fatboy Slim, Beverley Knight, The Rolling Stones and Kate Bush Angue was able to offer the Apprentices words of wisdom. One student said: 'she is an amazing singer and the class was great fun and really informative. She showed us lots of new vocal techniques, which I will definitely use as part of my warm-up sessions'
