Length:        1 year (36 weeks)

Our one-year Songwriting course is designed for young people who are looking to specialise in songwriting and lyric writing. The Level 3 course is:

  • Centred around song and lyric writing, with repertoire development.
  • Ideal for 17-18s as a one-year pre-degree course, or as part of a two-year course for 16+ (combined with Music Performance or Music Technology).
  • For songwriters/lyric writers who are looking to write in any style of popular music, from rock, blues and jazz to soul and hip hop.
  • Based around real-world projects with opportunities to score, record and perform your compositions.
  • Designed to give you more than music in that you will also gain valuable job skills and life skills.
  • Linked to nationally-recognised music qualifications.
  • Taught by songwriters at Access to Music London - Kilburn.
  • Designed to offer progression (with the right grade) on to ICMP's Songwriting degree.
