Length:        One year Subsidiary Diploma
                     which can lead on to a one year Extended Diploma

If you love the technical aspect of theatre shows, then this course is a perfect way to gain the skills to work behind the scenes in the theatre and live events sector. The course is:

  • Focused on practical event production work at working theatres.
  • Based around providing technical support for simulated and actual productions, to include set design, lighting, sound, stage management and business and marketing.
  • Linked to business, allowing you to explore your future career. Creative industries in the UK are outperforming almost all other areas of the UK economy and support over 1.7 million jobs.
  • Ideal for young people aged 16+ looking to gain the technical skills to work in theatre and live events.
  • Taught by theatre/live event technicians.
  • Assessed via project work, rather than exams, leading to nationally-recognised RSL qualifications.
  • Designed to give you more than technical skills - you will also gain valuable job skills and life skills.
  • Graded ‘Good’ by Ofsted in 2016.
