By doing the Creative & Media
Educator Level 4 course you will:

• Understand how people learn creative & media arts including music.
• Gain skills in assessing creative & media arts including music.
• Observe session delivery and management.
• Prepare and deliver a course from the creative & media sector.
• Write schemes of work and session plans.
• Gain teaching experience in creative & media disciplines.
• Learn about special educational needs and creative & media arts .
• Gain skills in using information learning technology.
• Gain skills in education management.
• Develop masterclass/workshop skills.
• Learn about job opportunities and how to market yourself as a creative & media educator.
• Gain a recognised and industry-relevant qualification. The course leads to a CTLLS (Certificate in Teaching in Lifelong Learning Sector) which qualifies you as an Associate Teacher for classroom teaching at further education level, in sixth form colleges and other areas of the lifelong learning sector. The qualification generates 24 ten-hour credits. The qualification is unit-based and assessment is focused on practical creative & media teaching activities.
• Gain potential to teach creative & media components of the new 14-19 Diplomas for schools and colleges in your area!
• Gain access to other Higher Education teacher training courses.
• Enrol and study where you live. Delivery is based on a blended learning model with 10 attended sessions each of three days duration.

The course is available as a flexible/blended learning programme which allows you to enrol and study where you live. You will be required to attend monthly sessions at the centre of your choice:

For Creative & Media Educator courses at ATM centres, students have to pay £560 for the Level 4 course. This fee is inclusive of enrolment fees and CRB check. If you are in receipt of benefits, the cost of the Music Educator will total £84 (CRB & enrolment) or if you are 18 years of age the cost is £44 (CRB only).
