A new chapter is unfurling for Access to Music in London. After over fifteen years in Stratford, the centre is moving to an exciting new location in trendy Shoreditch, which has become one of the epi-centres of contemporary hipster culture.
Art galleries, bars, restaurants, media and dot-com businesses jostle with traditional Indian fabric manufacturers and Bangladeshi restaurants, while in the heart of the area is the historic Spitalfields Market.
It's an exciting and vibrant place to be a student, close to the city centre, with excellent transport links. The new centre will be located at Hackney Community College's Shoreditch campus off Falkirk Street. There we will have a fantastic performance space, music technology and media suites, while down the road at Rooz Studios, musicians will be able to rehearse in professional facilities.
We are really looking forward to our move there at the end of February and we are hosting our first Open Day at the new centre on Saturday 18th March at 11am and 12 noon.
