To celebrate the launch of Nokia’s latest product they are looking to hire an official Nokia X6 All Areas entertainment reporter. Initially they will select six finalists to report from various exciting forthcoming events.
If you are chosen, you will immediately hit the road on a whirlwind series of six trial reporting assignments, beginning with the official X6 Launch Party in London on 3 March 2010.

RECORD LABEL SEEKING SINGERS/RAPPERS
Exciting new record label G.X Records is on the hunt for fresh talent. The label is looking for male or female (16-25yrs old) singers and rappers. Styles will include RnB, soul, contemporary jazz and house.
G.X. will prove singers with vocal and performance coaching, a live band and rehearsal and recording time. The artists are needed to perform at live shows, to record, rehearse and release material.

Exciting new record label G.X Records is about to launch exciting new singer Letisha, as the face of the record label. They are looking to create a support band comprising of a synth keyboard player, bassist and drummer.
Musicians must be comfortable in playing a wide variety of genres including Indie Rock, Hip Hop, RnB, House and Soul. Experience in this type of work is preferable but not essential. The band will be based in Birmingham and applicants must be willing to travel around for shows.

Successful applicants will join the TRL Music team to work on promoting and launching new artists. At the end of placement, you will receive a personal reference from the Managing Director of TRL Music.
This is a home based work experience opportunity, supported by a mentor, which lasts 3 months. This allows you to gain work experience which fits around your own time. Please note that this is not paid work experience.

THE SING THING
The Sing Thing is a Sing Up funded project run by British Gospel Arts, the education arm of the legendary London Community Gospel Choir.
The Sing Thing is an exciting and inspiring after-school singing club based in Islington starting on the 30th January 2010, for children and young people aged 7 – 19, funded by Sing Up.
The project will run until March 2011 and will end in a final performance in the O2 arena!

Practice-a-thon Music with Take it Away is an exciting new partnership between Arts Council England'sTake it Away scheme and the children's cancer charity CLIC Sargent.
Practice-a-thon Music (PATM) is an interactive initiative that aims to raise money for children and young people with cancer by encouraging people to take part in a sponsored music practice or performance. Anyone can take part no matter what their style of music, age, instrument or playing ability is. The idea is for everyone to have fun making music whilst raising money for a good cause.
PATM has a number of high profile musicians supporting the campaign, including Gary Barlow, Russell Watson, Nicola Benedetti and Jamie Cullum. Any music group or school that takes part in PATM is eligible to keep 25% of money they raise to go towards music activity in their group/school.

VOLUNTEERS WANTED FOR CHARITY FESTIVAL
The Riverside Festival is one of the UK's most successful independent not-for-profit charity festivals with an attendance of around 17,000 people. It offers four stages of live music together with a variety of arts and kids activities and a fantastic beer festival run from a 200 foot bar. It is held in Stamford in the East Midlands.
