KATIE SKILLING
Memory of Me

She says: A sincere and emotional range to her writing that allows her to be both English rose and vaudeville dame, with songs like Girl Like Me and In a Violent Way.

GUTWORM
Scrape The Blood

They say: Polished, contemporary blasts of riff-laden death/grind fury. It’s now time for a fresh blasphemy in the form of Disfigured Narcissus, recorded by Greg Chandler of Northern doomsters Esoteric and mastered by Russ Russell.

We say: Awesome guttural death metal forging a headgrinding, floor-shaking, bass drum pedal-laden homage to the extreme sonic arts.

THE RRRS
Forbidden Kiss

GECKO
The Library

They say: Acoustic music influenced by dance cultures across the globe including hip hop, reggae and Afro beat all tied together with a punk rock ethic and a very British wit.

We Say: The Library reflects the obscure and witty twist which Will (frontman to Gecko) applies to his lyrics. As well as fugitive gorillas and guanbana juice, Will also writes about life, love and friendship. His second album Songs in the Key of Lizard is out on iTunes now.

EYAL SHAVIT
Reggae Party

He says: Born in Israel and fascinated by music from the age of 4, quickly discovering bands such as The Beatles, Queen and ELO, Eyal did his national service in the Israeli army in a musical group, entertaining the soldiers. In 2004 Eyal moved to the UK and he is currently writing and recording his own material.

We say: Catchy as anything! This track longs for sunshine, barbeques and beaches - pure reggae with some excellent guitar riffs jammed in the middle. We look forward to more music from this artist.

LISA REDFORD
When You Come Home

She says: Delicate acoustic Americana pop with heartfelt lyrics, gorgeous melodies and stunning vocals. Her track Dragonfly was played on a 'Best of British' special which featured the best British songwriters and 'Whispering' Bob Harris has described her as 'one of our finest singer/songwriters'.

KASHA
You Have A Choice

He says: Serious stories of his surroundings, the problems in the world and his dreams, throwing in some fun every once in a while. Unlike most hip hop the music is melody driven, choosing only the most energetic or soulfulness of beats. His style of rap is warm yet raw, emotional yet punky.

We say: Kasha is taking the UK by storm, one to watch for 2009. The rather haunting feel of the melody reflects kasha’s thought-provoking lyrics as he sings of youth and weapons, graced throughout by the beautiful vocals of Iman.
