Ami tours with Basement Jaxx

Ami Richardson has just finished a 3 month tour as guest vocalist with beat masters Basement Jaxx.

Since graduating from the Artist Development Programme (ADP) in 2002 The 23 year old has enjoyed a steady career as a session singer, working with the likes of Gary Barlow (of Take That fame), Donny Osmond, Delta Goodrum and Atomic Kitten.

This summer Basement Jaxx headlined V Festival, performed to 70,000 at Roskilde (Europe’s second largest festival in Denmark), sold out Brixton Academy, and performed in Ireland, Prague, Hungary, Serbia, Switzerland, Slovakia, Spain, Belguim, Russia and the Netherlands.

Writer's Block

After graduating Ben Simkins moved to the US where he works as a music journalist. He has worked on online fanzines such as soundblur.com and is now working as a feature writer/reporter for US magazine,'The Front'. He has interviewed and written about acts including: Finch, Taking Back Sunday, Derek Hess, Ministry, Franti Spearhead and Spongebob Squarepants.

Working for the BBC

Ex –ATM York student Tom Maynard has landed himself a top job working in radio archiving at the BBC.

A typical day for Tom at the station involves re-mastering old analogue reels of audio tape to restore it’s quality and audibility, digitalising all the old analogue shows and editing the audio.’

Tom told Rewind

“This is the perfect type of job for me as I’m a bit obsessed by audio and spend all my spare time messing around with audio making music anyway, so working with audio every day is great fun.”

The Main Event

Cherry de Lacy studied the Performing Musician course at West Herts College. She is now events manager at Knebworth organising events and concerts by the likes of Robbie Williams.
