Cherry de Lacy studied the Performing Musician course at West Herts College.

Music business was always a career ambition so after graduating she obtained a degree in Commercial Music and Business at Westminster University.

After almost two years working as a Record Contract Advisor for Sanctuary Records she was looking for a change of direction. When she spotted an advert saying that Knebworth House were looking for an events manager she applied immediately.

Knebworth hails itself as the greatest rock venue in the world and over the past twenty years has played host to the cream of the music industry. The Rolling Stones, Queen, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Oasis and Robbie Williams are just a few of over 100 major artists who have played Knebworth festivals since they began in 1974.

'I couldn’t believe my luck when I was offered the position.' Cherry told Rewind.

As events manager Cherry’s job involves everything from booking and organising events/concerts, health and safety management and overseeing the set-up and break down of the shows.
