University Level Music Courses
Introduction

Access to Music’s Higher Education programmes aim to educate, train, and develop students’ practical and professional skills for successful, sustainable music careers.

Our centres are inspirational places to learn, teach and work, where students are prepared for a lifetime of professional and personal growth.

Our teaching staff are high-standard academics and active professionals in the music industry, working as session musicians, performers, composers, musical directors, writers, managers, promoters, publishers and performing or recording artists in their own right.

The curriculum and teaching methods are continually developed, assessed, and redefined to educate musicians to be creative, collaborative, passionate and musically literate; to be problem solvers and entrepreneurs who know how to use new and emerging technologies, and to be strong communicators who are adaptable, tolerant and open to new ideas.

We set high standards for achievement and believe that the self-discipline needed for excellence, the empathy required of music-making, and the openness and inquisitiveness essential to creativity, are critical to success in any pursuit, musical or otherwise.
